JACKSONVILLE, FL – October 07, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care announced today that ROARS and More, its family-friendly fundraising event benefiting Community PēdsCare®, will return to the Jacksonville Zoo and Botanical Gardens on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Proceeds from the evening support pediatric palliative and hospice care for children with serious, life-limiting illnesses and their families.
First held in February 2025, ROARS and More gives families an opportunity to experience the Zoo in a whole new way while supporting compassionate care for children in their community. This year’s event features the Zoo’s new Manatee River exhibit, adding a new destination to an evening built around activities for guests of every age.

ROARS and More is designed as an evening the entire family can enjoy together. Guests can stroll through the Zoo while enjoying food from local vendors and craft cocktails. Young explorers will find toy stops along the way, as well as music and activities in the Wild Cubs Adventure Zone, carousel rides and a movie adventure in the 4D Theater.
Community PēdsCare® is the pediatric palliative and hospice program of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, providing specialized care and support for children with serious and life-limiting illnesses and their families. The program offers comprehensive support focused on comfort, quality of life and the needs of the entire family, and it has provided in-home care to children and families for decades. Its services include child life and music therapy, family and sibling support, spiritual and cultural support, respite care, and grief and bereavement support.
The Dorion Family Pediatric Center, which opened earlier this year on the organization’s Earl B. Hadlow Campus, provides a welcoming space where Community PēdsCare® patients and families can receive therapies, participate in specialized programs and connect with additional support. It is Florida’s first dedicated pediatric hospice and palliative care center and one of only a few of its kind in the United States. Its spaces support music therapy, creative arts, therapeutic recreation, child life services, caregiver support and grief support.
Proceeds from ROARS and More help support Community PēdsCare® programs and services, turning an evening of adventure at the Zoo into meaningful support for local children and families.
Expedition passes and sponsorship opportunities are available now. For passes, sponsorship details and additional information, visit roarsandmore.thefoundationcares.org.
