The V Foundation for Cancer Research, a top-rated cancer research charity, announced it has reached a historic milestone of over $500 million awarded in cancer research grants. These funds support innovative scientists who are driving critical advancements that save lives and accelerate Victory Over Cancer.

So far, this fiscal year, the V Foundation has awarded $52.1 million in grant funding across its Powered by the V Portfolio of grants and through its flagship programs of Translational, Breaking Barriers, and Pediatric grants.

The V Foundation funds high-risk, high-reward research that advances groundbreaking treatments and expands options for patients. Since its inception in 1993, the V Foundation has funded nearly 1,500 grants, fundamentally changing the research landscape. V Foundation grantees have been connected to nearly 1,100 clinical trials and have become leaders in the cancer research field at major cancer centers, national research programs, and the National Cancer Institute.
Each grant is awarded through a highly selective process overseen by the V Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee. Composed of the world’s leading physicians and research scientists, the committee identifies the most promising investigators and cutting-edge projects for funding.
