TCC Turns Donated Mobile Devices Into Support for Survivors During National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

All TCC Stores to Collect Phones and Tablets Throughout October to Benefit More Than A Phone
FISHERS, Ind., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TCC, a Verizon authorized retailer and subsidiary of Round Room, LLC, is giving customers and community members an opportunity to make a difference during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Throughout October, TCC teams across the country will support awareness efforts by hosting in-store device drives, participating in volunteer events, and wearing purple to educate communities about the prevalence and impact of domestic violence.

More than 600 TCC stores nationwide will collect used phones and tablets in any condition as part of a device donation drive benefitting More Than a Phone, a nonprofit partner dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence connect with loved ones and access essential resources through free, safe, and reliable smartphones. Donated devices will be recycled, with the proceeds supporting More Than A Phone and its work with survivors.
“An old phone or tablet sitting unused can have a second purpose when it’s donated,” said Courtney Kibble, Executive Director of Round Room Gives and More Than a Phone. “Domestic Violence Awareness Month is an important time to come together and support the work being done to help survivors. We hope our communities will take this simple step to make a difference.”
Community members can participate by bringing any type of phone or tablet to their local TCC store throughout October. Devices can be in any condition and of any age. Donors are asked to clear personal data prior to donating, which store team members will be able to assist with.
