Jump, the leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for advisors and financial services professionals, today introduced AI-assisted, real-time account opening, enabling advisors to move from a client conversation to a completed, validated and signed account opening workflow all within the time it takes for a typical advisor-client meeting.
Account opening has traditionally required advisors and operations teams to move among client forms, CRM records, custodian portals and signature tools, often re-entering information the firm has already captured. Jump brings those steps into one connected experience, eliminating manual work and follow-up while helping firms identify missing information before it results in a not-in-good-order (NIGO) submission. Real-time account opening further enhances Jump’s ability to deliver an end-to-end client experience through AI that is faster, simpler and more client centric.
“Leading advisors are looking for ways to elevate the client experience,” said Parker Ence, chief executive officer and co-founder of Jump. “Jump allows advisors to stay focused on the conversation while moving the onboarding process forward in real time, creating a more seamless experience for both the advisor and the client.”
“Our whole model is built around getting advisors more time in front of clients and less time on process,” said Marc Butler, Jump customer and Osaic advisor with Anthony Petsis & Associates. “When the administrative side of starting a relationship gets simpler, that time goes straight back into planning, which is the part that actually changes outcomes for people.”
In June, Jump announced AI-assisted account opening, which used client data available across connected systems to prefill required fields for advisor review. Jump has now expanded that capability into a real-time workflow that draws information from meetings, documents, forms and customer relationship management (CRM) data simultaneously. If information is missing, Jump captures it live during the client conversation to populate the appropriate fields, allowing the advisor and client to review the completed application together and send it digitally for signature before the meeting ends.
Jump’s real-time account opening experience supports two of the industry’s largest custodians: Schwab Advisor Services™ and Fidelity; the latter facilitated by Dispatch. Jump released its integration with Schwab Advisor Center©’s fully digital account onboarding earlier this summer and has already expanded its capabilities to include initiating transfers of assets, setting up a profile for ACH bank transfers and support for a firm’s custom forms – all initiated from within Jump – in one digital envelope for client review and eAuthorization. A new, separate Docusign-based option further extends Jump’s support for Schwab and Fidelity workflows across a broader range of account types and forms. Together, these capabilities position Jump as the first AI platform for financial advisors to support real-time account opening across either Schwab or Fidelity.
“We launched AI-assisted account opening earlier this year because advisors needed a better way to turn the information they already collect into action,” said Tim Chaves, president and chief operating officer of Jump. “The reality is that once a firm reaches any level of scale, it’s rarely working with a single custodian, and client data is scattered across meetings, emails, CRM records and forms. Onboarding only gets fast when all of that is united in one place. That’s what Jump does. By extending real-time account opening across Schwab and Fidelity, we’re helping advisors spend less time on manual work while delivering a faster, more connected experience from the initial conversation through onboarding and ongoing service.”
According to research from Dispatch, opening an account can require more than 150 data points and two to three hours of manual work. Jump estimates its real-time workflow can reduce that work to roughly 10 minutes in one sitting, returning approximately 65 hours of operational capacity annually to a practice opening 30 accounts per year. Actual results will vary based on a firm’s workflows, account types and implementation.
Real-time account opening will be available in limited beta to Jump customers. Independent firms can enable the capability directly, while enterprise availability is subject to home office approval and configuration.
