Mirastar Federal Credit Union Appoints Robert Williams as Vice President, Credit Solutions

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mirastar Federal Credit Union announced the appointment of Robert Williams to the role of Vice President, Credit Solutions. In this expanded leadership position, Williams will continue to oversee the credit union’s Credit Solutions and Asset Recovery functions while driving strategic innovation in credit risk management, operational excellence, and member-focused lending solutions.

Williams brings more than 18 years of progressive experience in banking and credit union operations, having joined Mirastar in April 2021 as Credit Solutions Manager before being promoted to Assistant Vice President of Credit Solutions in March 2024. His deep expertise spans residential and consumer loan servicing, default operations, compliance, legal recovery, and team development.

In his new role, Williams will:

• Lead strategic planning and long-term vision for the Credit Solutions department
• Oversee KPI development, departmental performance, and workflow optimization
• Ensure full regulatory compliance across FDCPA, FCRA, BSA/AML, and bankruptcy operations
• Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on credit risk, recovery strategy, and technology enhancements
• Continue to represent Mirastar in legal proceedings, bankruptcies, foreclosures, and escalated recovery matters

Williams studied Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate Management at California State University, East Bay. He is also an active entrepreneur as the owner of Williams Squared Investments LLC and a long-time Business Consultant with LegalShield. Williams is a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC).
