July and August funding totaled $2.97 million, representing approximately 88% of the Company’s entire second-quarter 2026 funding volume, with September still remaining in the current quarter
MIAMI, FL / ACCESS Newswire / September 2, 2026 / Fortun Holdings, Corp. (OTCID:FRTU) (“Fortun” or the “Company”), a financial technology company focused on providing revenue-based financing to underserved small businesses, today announced that it funded $1,520,000 in small-business financing transactions during August 2026, establishing a new monthly funding record for the second consecutive month.
August funding volume exceeded the Company’s previous monthly record of $1,454,500, established in July 2026, by approximately 4.5%. The August result was approximately 33% higher than Fortun’s average monthly funding volume of $1,139,183 during the first six months of 2026.
Together, Fortun funded $2,974,500 during July and August, representing an average of $1,487,250 per month. That two-month average is approximately 31% above the Company’s first-half 2026 monthly average.
The Company’s third-quarter performance to date also demonstrates the magnitude of the recent increase in funding activity. Fortun’s $2,974,500 of funding during July and August represents approximately 88% of the $3,388,200 funded during the entire second quarter of 2026, the immediately preceding quarter, with September still remaining in the current quarter.
Management believes the back-to-back record months provide increasing evidence that the higher level of operating activity first reported in July is becoming more firmly established.
The increase in funding activity has been supported by a sustained expansion in Fortun’s application pipeline following the Company’s marketing initiatives. As of the date of this release, Fortun has recorded approximately 465 new funding applications during August, subject to final reconciliation. This follows 495 applications in June and 484 applications in July, compared with a preceding nine-month monthly average of approximately 225 applications.
Management views the 450-plus monthly application range established since June as a meaningful increase in the Company’s opportunity pipeline. The Company’s objective, however, is not to maximize raw application counts or measure progress based on modest month-to-month changes in application volume.
As Fortun gathers additional data from its expanded marketing efforts, the Company continues refining its targeting toward applicants that are more likely to satisfy Fortun’s underwriting standards and ultimately convert into completed funding transactions. Management therefore believes the more meaningful measure of the expanded application pipeline is how effectively that pipeline converts into quality funding volume.
While August application volume remained generally consistent with June and July, funding volume increased to a new Company record of $1.52 million, following the previous record established in July.
“August represents an important continuation of the operating momentum we began to see in July,” said Yoel Damas, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fortun Holdings. “July was the strongest funding month in our history, and in August we exceeded it again, reaching $1.52 million and establishing a second consecutive monthly record.”
“From a financial and operating perspective, the change in pace is becoming increasingly visible,” said Juan M. Sese, Chief Financial Officer of Fortun Holdings. “We averaged approximately $1.14 million of monthly funding during the first six months of 2026. During July and August, that average increased to approximately $1.49 million per month, more than 30% above our first-half average. In just the first two months of the third quarter, we have already funded approximately 88% of the amount funded during the entire second quarter.”
Damas added, “We are equally encouraged by what we are learning from the application pipeline. Since expanding our marketing efforts, monthly applications have remained consistently above 450, compared with a prior nine-month average of approximately 225. At this stage, our focus is not whether one month produces ten or twenty more applications than another. We are refining our marketing toward the types of applicants most likely to meet our underwriting criteria and convert into completed funding transactions. Ultimately, the measure that matters to us is how effectively that larger pipeline translates into quality funding volume.”
Management believes the combination of three consecutive months of substantially elevated application activity and two consecutive record funding months is increasingly demonstrating a higher level of recurring operating activity for Fortun.
Subject to the continued availability of capital to deploy, disciplined underwriting and acceptable portfolio performance, management believes the recent results reflect the emergence of a higher operating baseline for the business.
The Company will continue monitoring application quality, approval and conversion rates, customer-acquisition costs, processing times, completed funding transactions, portfolio performance, collections and capital availability as it works to build upon the operating momentum established during July and August.
Understanding Funding Volume
Funding volume is an operating metric representing the gross dollar amount of financing transactions completed with small-business customers during a specified period. Funding volume is not revenue, net income, cash flow or any other financial measure calculated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States, or GAAP.
The Company believes funding volume is useful in evaluating the scale of its origination activity, customer demand and operating growth. However, funding volume should not be considered a substitute for, or superior to, the Company’s GAAP financial results.
The amount ultimately recognized as revenue from funded transactions depends on numerous factors, including transaction terms, collections, portfolio performance, defaults, renewals, servicing activity and the timing and application of the Company’s accounting policies.
