FROM A LIVE BROADCAST SEGMENT TO 82 WEEKS OF PROPHECIES

QUEEN OF THE WORLD began as a segment featuring absurd prophecies that opened a half-hour Sunny Side live broadcast hosted by Allard in 2023. The concept evolved into the current one-minute comedy series, which now releases new episodes Monday through Friday. After 82 weeks, the series has produced 410 one-minute episodes.

Each episode opens with Worried Man, played by Sheldon Norberg, voicing a concern to the Queen of the World, played by Susie Schoonmaker. The Queen responds with mysterious prophecies loosely connected to the concern — “think the Oracle at Delphi, but with better pacing,” laughs Allard.

The series features original music by J Raoul Brody and is edited using Apple Final Cut Pro to create what Sunny Side calls “a stimulating one-minute visual experience.”

A GROWING AUDIENCE FOR WHIMSY

While QUEEN OF THE WORLD is available on YouTube and TikTok (@SunnySideComedyFun), the series has built its most engaged audience on Instagram (@SunnySideComedyFun).
