Diamond earrings, sapphire and diamond stick pins, and a sculptural diamond and black onyx ring trace Cartier’s evolving design language across generations.
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — DSF Antique Jewelry is presenting a selection of rare Cartier jewelry that traces the Maison’s evolving design language from Art Deco geometry to modern sculptural form. The featured pieces include Cartier diamond chandelier earrings, sapphire and diamond Art Deco stick pins, and a diamond and black onyx spiked dome ring.
Although these jewels originate from different periods and serve different purposes, they share qualities closely associated with Cartier: carefully controlled proportions, distinctive gemstone combinations, precise construction and designs that remain immediately recognizable.
The Cartier diamond chandelier earrings are set with approximately 6.50 carats of diamonds and crafted in 18K gold. Measuring approximately two inches in length, their articulated construction creates movement while maintaining a carefully balanced silhouette. The earrings are signed Cartier, numbered 230016 and accompanied by their original Cartier receipt dated June 2004.
Cartier’s earlier design history is represented by a group of Art Deco stick pins. One example, signed Cartier New York and crafted in platinum by Georges Andrey, centers on a blue cabochon sapphire framed by two rectangular step-cut diamonds. A French platinum hallmark and the GA maker’s stamp provide additional information about the workshop and construction.
Another Cartier New York Art Deco stick pin combines old European-cut diamonds with calibré-cut sapphires in a graduated platinum setting. Its tapering geometry and alternating arrangement of blue sapphires and diamonds demonstrate the architectural balance associated with Cartier’s work during the 1920s.
The modern side of the selection is represented by a Cartier Clash diamond and black onyx spiked dome ring. Crafted in 18K white gold, the ring is set with approximately 3.7 carats of pavé diamonds interrupted by polished black onyx spikes. The contrast between the rounded bombé surface and the raised onyx elements gives the jewel a pronounced three-dimensional character.
The ring bears the Cartier signature, 750 gold mark, European size 52 stamp, individual serial number and the HV maker’s mark of Hamard-Vitau in Paris. It is accompanied by a Cartier presentation box and certificate.
“What makes Cartier especially compelling to collectors is the Maison’s ability to evolve without losing its design identity,” according to DSF Antique Jewelry. “An Art Deco stick pin and a modern sculptural ring may appear entirely different, yet both demonstrate close attention to proportion, materials and construction.”
Together, the pieces show how Cartier has interpreted diamonds, sapphires, black onyx, platinum and gold across changing periods of jewelry design. The Art Deco stick pins rely on disciplined geometry and concentrated gemstone arrangements, while the later earrings and dome ring explore movement, volume and stronger sculptural presence.
For collectors, signed Cartier jewelry can be evaluated through a combination of design, condition, materials, signatures, serial numbers, hallmarks, maker’s marks and accompanying documentation. These details help place an individual jewel within the broader history of the Maison while also contributing to its particular identity.
The Cartier jewelry collection and additional examples of antique, vintage and modern signed Cartier designs are available through DSF Antique Jewelry.
